Hi! I'm Liz.

I have been a dietitian since 2012 in a variety of areas. Completing my formal education at the Minneapolis Veteran's Affairs Hospital gave me a strong medical basis for nutrition and wellness. I shifted into eating disorder work where I became a firm believer in balanced nutrition and the "all foods fit approach" for sustainable, life long nutrition and wellness changes. I practiced this approach in the residential eating disorder setting as well as individual counseling in the outpatient setting  with both eating disorders and weight management clients.

Then life found me moving back to South Dakota where I served as the School Nutrition Director in my hometown of Pierre, SD.  I enjoyed working in the broader sense of nutrition providing healthy meals for the youth. During this time I found a love for workplace wellness. As the Wellness Coordinator, I created webinars, lunch and learns, and other incentivized challenges to get staff excited about positive health changes.

To broaden the field of nutrition even further, I took on a new position in public health working in areas of Diabetes, Heart Disease and Stroke and Nutrition and Physical Activity Programs knowing someday I would like to get back to working with clients one-on-one.

My passion for exercise has always been a staple in my nutrition counseling. Helping clients find something they enjoy is my goal. I co-own BURN Infrared Fitness where I coach a variety of classes like strength, circuit and yoga.

I am a wife to my husband Nick and a mom to my kids Calvin and Hazel. It's never been more important to lead by example. Often times, lifestyle changes affect the whole household. This is doable, manageable, and sustainable.

I look forward to working with you!

Liz
